SUSY ZUCCHI

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Carpi (Mo), where she resides and works.

Her love for art started very early with first approaches to painting and poetry. From her mother, a poetess, she assimilates the need to freely express her emotions with both verses

and colour. Her work as a designer / stylist in the fashion world takes her on frequent trips, especially to India and Indonesia, which accounts for the evocative power of colour. After a discontinuous phase, linked to professional commitments, she resumes her artistic production with greater diligence, consolidating an original technique which is based on “polymaterials”, using acrylic paint, fabric, glass, minerals and other materials with a style that could be defined neo Baroque. The figure is sometimes present, but with a creative freedom that borders the informal.

Only over the last few years Susi Zucchi has exhibited her works, having always considered them a personal response to an intimate creative need. The most recent works explore the world of  female intimacy, fertility and the emotional depth and use a personal style and purified by the choice in relief of an almost total white.

One of her paintings appears in the collection of Museum In Motion at the Castello di San Pietro in Cerro – Piacenza
